Advise for coming off the line?

Lately I've been spinning really bad and getting partly sideways or else spinning all the way through first gear and through part of second gear coming off the line. Anyone know a technique to help with that?

I seemed to spin even more with traction control on. Its an Auto and I was using stock tires since I haven't had time to go out and get any DR yet.

Drop your tire pressure. Start at 25 psi and go down 1 psi
I run 18-20 psi in my drag radials. Stock tires should hook better with less than stock pressure.

Sorry to jack the thread..with no ZL1. I read that they were all tuned for factory performance, no wheel spin. Missing something?

Is this a joke? 580 bhp, you are going to have traction issues that need to be managed, no different than in an SS with 430 bhp. Just because the traction control system helps keep the car under control doesn't mean it makes it hook all the time without wheel spin.

That is so true. 580 hp does and will spin the tires even with the traction control on. It's all about how hard you mash the peddle and the surface your driving on. Your tires will definitely have a lot to do with it.
