Withdrawals....car in the shop

First time since I've owned my car ( October 2009) it's spending the night away from home.....it's getting a new oil pan tomorrow to stop the leak. Made sure it's going to be inside (never spent the night outside either...don't want her to be scared), and the local Police Department has been advised to step up patrols at the dealership tonight.

Someone tell me it's gonna be alright.....I'm contemplating borrowing a motor home from my neighbor and camping out at the dealership. She's having major surgery...shouldn't I be there?

I suspect this new oil pan to stop the leak is due to the porosity of the old pan or is it cracked?

What are you waiting for? Get that motorhome to the dealer and get one of those small spy cameras and plant it by your car. I'll be awaiting updates.

They said it's the porosity.....they've changed the oil cooler gasket twice but apparently it's the pan seal leaking. They gave me a Saab for a loaner. They do excellent work, but dropping the subframe seems like a huge deal.....hopefully she'll be back in less than 22 hrs and 36 minutes.

I enquired about that....something about insurance doesn't allow it. If I sneak into the dealership can I be classified as an undocumented guest instead of an intruder?

No satelit TV in the motor home.....I'll have to wait til 24 is over before my journey.....I'll cook breakfast for all the techs tomorrow.

I feel the same way, when my car goes to the dealers for warranty work I always request that it remain indoors and they are always good about keeping it indoors

I have heard stories of technicians going for joy rides, leaving interior lights on overnight, getting oil/dirt on the seats...
