Solo performance Mach XL?
Been looking to get a exhaust system pretty soon... Thinking about getting the mach xl jpipes anyone care to share their love/hate for this system? Truthfully I have a new person in my crew who owns a '12 Mustang 5.0 auto with Flowmasters and it sounds really good! I know that that's 2 completely motors but don't want my car quiet with a gt behind me. Thanks for the advice..

This does have the HFC on it too which add a deeper note. I like this system personally.

You'll be fine with this system.

its a little it of a pain to get all lined up but its a nice system. I have ARH LT headers and hi flow cats. car is a little louder then stock until you open it up. then it gets loud. No drone. It gets really loud with a cam. I like it.

I should have bought a ZL1

How is a 2 1/2" X pipe exhaust restrictive? You're still NA right? Maybe he meant your cats?

I'm running solo's. Hooked to my Kooks headers, they sound great. I cheated a little too, have the DMH cutout installed, so I can get them loud. But overall, I love the Solo's and would not have any desire to change. They were pretty easy to install.

I have a l99 so do you still recommend this system? And what did you do with your stock exhaust?

I highly recommend it. Very good quality. I trashed the old one. Would never go back to it for anything.

It's a nice system, it is relatively quiet even with HFC's unless you get into the throttle. So that 5.0 sitting at the light will sound "better" than this system. If you plan on going with some long tubes I'd say get the system. But if you plan on staying stock I'd recommend a exhaust with more of a throaty sound that doesn't warrant the removal of cats and addition of long tubes to wake up.

I'd recommend the stainless works retro chambered catback, that's what I was gonna ditch this set up for. But as I said dropping the cats, installing long tubes and a cam and the car sounds where I want it.

And I'm guessing all that void the warranty?
