Footwell LED Suggestions
I'm looking to toss in footwell LEDs. Just don't know what route I should take on whether I should go for strips or a set of singular LEDs.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Considering footwell lighting for mine too.. will probably DIY it - I can't imagine it can be too hard. A couple of flexible 12v LED strips spliced together. Tap one of the power socket fuses in the fuse box and Bob's your uncle. Footwell lighting that is switched with the ignition on. Choice is whether or not to add a switch to turn them off. Kindof depends when you want the lights on and off.
Gen5Diy's Kit links the footwell lights to the dome light. You pays your money and you takes your choice

Just do it yourself. It's a good DIY in the DIY section. Only takes about 15 minutes to install.

I did it already, was wondering on what strips I should get. Did it in about 20 minutes and it was a breeze. The hardest part was splicing into the dome light only because I'm a big guy and getting under the wheel is hard.

bargain lights
I can appreciate a good deal and doing the job for $30 sounds great. I have time to drive my SS maybe once a week on the weekends. I was thrilled my SS already had the lights installed saving me a lot of time, which I don't have. Professional installation, GM parts, under new car warranty and I didn't have to spend a second jerking around with light strips, installing switches, routing wires, hiding wires, or any other issues that inevitably creep up. I just enjoy my car.
