Question 30-50 rwhp from bolt ons

Okay so I know that this is probably a repeat but I want advice tailored to me, I'm getting my 2SS sometime this week hopefully and I was wondering what the cheapest way to add somewhere from 30-50 rwhp. I plan on doing a K&N CAI and from the dyno runs I've seen that should add about 10! What other bolt ons should I get and is there another CAI that's proven to get more hp? Thanks in advance

For starters, scratch the K&N. Get either a CAI (Cold Air Inductions brand) or a Roto-Fab cold air intake.
Then, what are you wanting from the car? You have options.

Here's what I'm doing, it may or may not help you.

done:
CAI intake
Kooks LT headers
Flowmaster cat back exhaust
tune

Almost ready for:
Cam
re-tune

You should also look into a Catch Can, and I'm on the waitlist for a ported throttle body.

30-50 RWHP is pretty reasonable but you'll need to add some long tube headers for sure. K&N makes a fine intake but if you're looking for all out dyno power you might want to look into some other brands. The CAI intake paired up with a race scoop has been one of the best performers on the market. With a solid set of long tube headers, CAI with race scoop and a tune you should be damn close if not passed that 50 rwhp number.

CAI with race scoop 10rwhp (15 with tune), long tube headers 20rwhp (30 with tune)...

How does your car feel vs a stock ss? And also about what hp do you think you're pushing?

I'm really the wrong person to ask that question to. I didn't have my car a month before headers were added. It's not a daily driver, so I had probably driven it fewer than five or six times. I can tell you the car feels great and sounds great!

I'd guess I'm pushing ~40 hp over stock. But that's based on what other people with similar setups are saying they dyno'd at.

And as for cost, how much did that 40ish hp cost you?

Alright. I'll PM you what I paid for everything. J-Rod in Houston is who did my car. Go to the TX regional forum and someone can direct you to a good SA area shop.
