Hello everyone. Just ordered 2SS/RS rally yellow with transformers pkg. Wasn't going to order transformers pkg at first because I thought it was to cartoony, but the dealer convinced me that it was no more cartoony than the roadrunner and may make it more collectible. Can't wait for it to get here.

Can anyone tell me roughly how long it takes from ordering to getting the car? I have been looking on this forum for about 1 week and look forward to learning more. Thanks.

WARNING: the months it takes will feel like forever.

It depends on dealer allocations, but on average a good 5 months. I ordered mine in May and I just got a call this week confirming GM accepting the order in September and a good 4-5 week wait after that. It's driving me crazy!!!

You should look around at different dealerships to see if they have allocations. I,m expecting my car any day now and it's only been 10 weeks. My dealer pretty much was able to order a few days after i ordered. The wait is terrible so make sure you can get it asap.

My dealere had an allication tuesday and he said the order was placed or accepted friday. Can't wait

Welcome. And the transformer package will definitely make the car more collectible in the years to come.

Heck, I remember when Pontiac was offering the 'Smokey and the Bandit' package on the T/A - at the time I thought this option was stupid. Now the T/A with the 'Bandit' package is very collectible.

No order should take 5 months any more unless your dealer has few allocations and a large stack of orders. I placed my order 7/31 and it was accepted (status 2000) the very next day and at 3000 by 8/4. I have a TPW of 9/7 so it should be delivered before the end of September.

I sat at 1100 - Preliminary Order, for 2 months because my dealer did not have any allocations when I placed my order.
If you dealer has a allocation your order should move pretty quickly.

Good news..."transformers package" should be in the VIN

bad news...its not a "bumblebee" package, but a transformers movie edition which isn't like the movie car at all...

I would have gotten it, but I don't really like yellow.

Just look at it this way...

You have time to kill waiting on your new ride so you have time to read most everything on this site to help with the pain of waiting or add to it which ever the case may be.

Depends on dealer allocation, I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago and its actually hitting production 8/17, and they estimate 2-3 weeks after that, so basically around 6 weeks for me. I dont know how people waiting months can handle it, im going crazy with a few weeks!! Get the VIZ to help track it, he somehow has the most current update. Find a dealer who has an immediate allocation like mine, ordered 7/21 order 1100 7/22 for example. Congrates and enjoy!!!!

Welcome, you will learn more from this site about camaros than your dealer knows. Weeks seem like months and one day, delivery..... and the past becomes irrelevant.

Welcome! I just ordered mine today and what I have come to the conclusion is that if the worst comes true then you are looking around 3 to 5 months and if your lucky then maybe about a month or 2.
