How to ship 2 Pirelli rear tires

Thank you for all your responses. I took one tire today to UPS and then to USPS. UPS was a rip off. They wanted $169.84 to ship from MA to Alabama or Georgia. Check out their quote below. I then went to USPS and they quoted $75 to the same two locations. if I strap them together and send as a unit.

I have two Pirellis 275/40/20 tires for sale ( see post below). I tried to get a local buyer but had no luck. I have received interest but it requires me to ship. I have a couple of questions for anyone who has done this successfully :

1. What carrier should I use ? I was thinking UPS.

2. How do I wrap the tires? Do I have to completely seal the tires in cellophane or paper wrap or something like that?

3. I assume I need to tether the two tires together so they don't get separated right?

Any other advice very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

May I suggest getting some of that plastic cling/shipping wrap? Tires cant be damaged by dropping etc, so its just a case of wrapping them and slapping a label on.

Here is what I did, I paid $50 for each set through ups. Box tape wrapped 3-4 times with the outside in. Arrived without issue.
