ss no spare?

i was always curious as to why the ss does not come with a spare? are the tires on the ss run flats or something? what do you do if you have a blowout?

so you are screwed if you have a blowout???

No spare because the typical spare donut does not fit over the brembo brakes, question has been asked and answered before. And no run flats, tire sealant and pump kit in trunk.

My current vehicle has Brembo brakes, Infiniti G35 coupe (P.O.S. if I might add), and it has a spare that fits over the brakes on all four corners. So it is not because the typical spare doesn't fit over Brembo brakes. It is because GM wanted to save a lot of money designing the housing for the spare and the cost of the spare itself.

I'm glad it didn't come with a spare... I have enough clutter in my garage.

Only thing sucks is if there is a gash that the sealant won't fix. I guess my tow coverage will come in handy then. I do like the battery in the trunk.

I didn't say they couldn't design a spare to fit I clearly said the typical donut spare wouldn't. Absolutely nothing wrong with that statement. Also infiniti G35 is a luxury coupe and camaro is a muscle car, you get what you pay for. I will be perfectly happy with my 426 horses and no spare.

Not for the SS, the 20's will not fit in trunk.

Hope that optional spare comes with a luggage rack. There is no place for one. Not with those monster flo cans underneath. Gotta have some kind of trunk space under the lid.

Well that the stupidest thing to have a car with no spare. Think if some chick has a flat. She better be hot so someone will do the plug and patch work for her or shes screwed lol. This is very dissapointing

I'm not sure I would want to drive my Camaro with a space-saver tire on it. Driving a car with one tire that much smaller then the rest isn't that great an idea.

The chick hits the Onstar......... she would not be able to lift the wheel out of the car.

ok your g35 has 12.6-12.1" rotors the camaro has 14.4 then you have to factor in the offsets

that is why you have a spare and the camaro does not

whats the big deal call onstar/AAA/sears road side emergency/or insurance provider that usually has free road side assistance that is really cheap and probably already in your plan, get a tow for free and depending on your tire buying situation warranty wise you get a free tire
