No deal. I like the classic and it hides the gauges.

Those shifters were called "horseshoe" shifters back in the 60's/early 70's. I think they are kinda cool. I've always been a muscle car fan and they are unique to the era.

Tommy Pike Customs..

$700, custom made to order. That picture is the proto-type the final piece was to have the PRNDS stack down the center.

however, based on all of the "hate" I have read on multiple Camaro forums about it since 2011, I doubt they actually ever got past the proto-type stage.

I believe the name for the shifter lever is "stirrup".

My 1970 RS had one, and I thought it was very cool then. Not sure I'm liking it so much on the current Camaro though...

...it's all good.

I've been thinkin about making one for our cars but adding a wayyyy better looking piece in bezel rather than that bubble. But I read so many threads where many werent in favor so I couldnt see making anything off of it.

I think its a cool look and idea but only if the grip of the horse shoe could be changed out or modernized with newer plastics/metals to match the car better

Manual guy here.

I wish it was still just a threaded stick with a ball on top. In fact, if I can figure out a way to modify the shifter in my 1LS, I'm going to find a nice machined aluminum ball to fit on it. Lightweight plastic shifters are lame.

This is what I did to my automatic shifter. A friend of mine with a 2013 2SS manual calls it false advertising. I call it improved looks.

Camaro Manual boot
CFD Autmatic shifter
Classic SS shift knob.
