I have seen many threads about installing a remote start on manual just search it. I also hate the fact that we didn't get push to start becaue before the Camaro I almost got a 128i and was very fond of it. My best friend for a 2 almsot 3 year old used Infiniti and has the push to start. But, in the end we are driving American muscle and it just wouldn't be muscle enough if you did not get in the car and crank that engine. Pushing a sissy little button in a muscle car just isn't muscle enough is the mentality most enthusiast have, get it? I'm not saying it would be horrible to have one but it's no longer a big deal once you look it the way I do now.

There is something really hard about putting a key in and turning it in this generation Man kind is destined to be doomed!

But looking at the challenger and its high key fob failure rate (go to a challenger forum and search for key fobs...hell go to a couple) and the perk doesnt look like a perk anymore.

c6 vettes have push button start along with many other vehicles... my thing is that by having a push button, i don't have a set of keys rubbing on my right knee during operation..

Maybe just don't hang a lot of other keys off your Camaro key? It's almost the size of a small cell phone so it's not like it'll get lost in your pocket without being attached to half a dozen other things.

wow i wish i had a 5th gen and could complain about the type of starting method it uses :(

Id rather a key anyways. its something else that wont fail. My 86 has the original key and tumblers and it works better than my 02 jeep pos lol

I was amazed that you can just tap the key over and the car starts. I'm used to holding the key over and waiting for it to start.

my 86 takes 5- 10 seconds of cranking when its cold to start. lol while my buddies 89 with the same engine starts in a quick jolt of the key...

Never had any problems with GM key fobs for my 98 Z28. I haven't even had to replace the batteries once in 11 years....
