Pedders EP 6579 Radius rod inserts installed
These are my first impressions from the Pedders radius rod inserts...
Firstly, only when you drop the radius rod from the frame do you realize how big and soft this stock bushing is. There are two big voids on each side of the steel ferule that will be filled by this bushing insert. You are also increasing the surface area that contacts the frame BIG TIME. I like inserts because the install is super easy. I have the CTS-V front brake upgrade and I can tell you that the steering wheel is now more steady under hard braking. In general, the steering wheel input is more direct and responsive. I can tell you that this is an excellent way to help steady the front end of this car. The only down side are the terrible roads here in Montreal and every thing I do to tighten up the feel of the Camaro makes it more difficult to enjoy on these streets. I would recommend this upgrade to anybody who can get their hands on a set.

I put these in a year ago. The do help some with steering input, mostly noticed at freeways speeds

VR Baron, I agree that it is most noticeable on freeway or high speed cornering. It is surprising how good these cars can be once you throw some money at the suspension and light weight wheels.

Did you not like the Pfadt Spherical Bushings??? I've had them sitting in a box for about a year now, and still haven't gotten around to installing them.

Pictures of my Z28 front arms. The white insert is as stiff as Delrin material. Can't even squeeze it.

These are very nice ! It is nice to see a company like GM finally listen, learn and work with their customers and after market companies to build better performance cars. My hat off to chevrolet!

23105018 / 23105019. The arms have the same old parts number but because of this being a Z28 application the parts #s are what I listed. My take is their are stock arms with inserts but who knows, GM probably made the inside a bit stiffer as well. I am going to install them in an hour. My guess and hope is that even on track I won't need the Pfadt bush installed pieces anymore. I honestly prefer to use GM stock upgrades and feel safer with them even with power mods. Instead of a Cam I am thinking of buying their 525hp engine kit for just under $10,000 when I feel the need to replace my current engine instead of going after market cam. I am hearing about too much cam failures lately as well as seeing them in real life. 525hp from that kit with headers should be maybe 550hp crank. I'll be happy. C7 Vette in the future after this car. Don't forget , when installing these time your bushings or you'll ruin a good thing.

Guys, timing your bushings is very easy. I made myself ramps that bring the car up 1 foot and that is plenty of room to torque down those bushings at ride height. Just drive the car up and down the ramp a couple of times once you take it off the jack stands to be sure the suspension has settled at ride height.
L99CAMA, enjoy your new arms! Crate engine not necessary with a good installer and good parts! Spend 4 grand instead of 8 for a crate motor
