2013 V6 looking for 1LE and brake advice.

I have a 13 V6 and I want to improve the handling. It's a daily driver and I have no intention of tracking the car. I just want to be able to get more feel of the road and improve cornering, etc. I am looking at the 1LE package as an upgrade becaiuse I'd just like to stick with GM parts but I noticed I'd have to also do the rear brakes at the same time or there is a clearance issue. I've talked with Tyler at JDP and he is recommending all aftermarket components (BMR). I'd love to hear from anyone else who went through this with a V6 and what they did. I'm also considering drop springs. I'm thinking 1" all around or 1" rear 1.4" front as a package I've seen form BMR.

Please share your knowledge and advice Camaro gurus!

Well I believe you and I already spoke via PM's so you already know my take on this.

I tried to stay with GM OEM parts as much as possible. All the mods I've made are in my signature below so no need to list them. My whole design is to make a "what if" GM Performance V6 based on the SEMA car posted here.

With soo many SS Brembo take off set for sell and the 1LE kit has dropped in price it's hard to take a serious look at the GM parts. With that said JDP Tyler is a great dude and is very knowledgeable about out 5th Gen cars and their suspensions.

Either way you can't go wrong.

Happy modding!

I have an '11 with a Hodge Podge of after market parts from all of the companies. I have Eibach sways, Hotchkis end links and springs, Koni orange struts, Hawk pads and Baer rotors. I do all of my own work and buy when the parts are on sale/special. The 1LE Track Pack is the way to go if you have the cash. You really should come to the Cover Bridge Tour this Sunday. You can learn so much from other owners. Check out the NJ/PA section, I run with SEPA5, there is also Central Jersey and South Jersey Camaro Clubs, really nice people.

I went with BMR full suspension kit (TA, Toe Rods, all bushings, etc) minus the swaybars which are from Pdaft. But since installing my '11 V6 rides like its on rails. My car is a DD so this set up suits my needs completely. Hope my little insight helped you out. Ty is a good dude he'll steer you in the right direction. GL !
