Worried about debadging

Wanting to debadge my 2010 ss but the paint being so fragile worries me. The badges aren't goingnto pull my paint off when I heat them up and us fishing line are they? Or is there any other ways to do it. Maybe im just being overly paranoid. Also I've always used wd40 to remove the residue left over on other vehicles is that going to cause problems on this paint.

I just removed my camaro lettering in order to install 3D Carbon fiber front fender vents. I used a hairdryer for about 15-20s then dental floss and they popped right off. Then you've got to work a bit too remove the adhesive, I used 3M adhesive remover, soaked the letters one at a time, removed the heavy adhesive with my finger nail, then the residue with a microfiber cloth and more adhesive remover. Took about 20-30 minutes for both sides. Then you can clean with soap and water and finish with polish. The adhesive remover will dull the finish but you can get it back with a good polish. Hope this helps.

Dental floss/fishing line and Goo Gone will definitely do the trick with no ill effects to the paint. You won't be pulling out on the pieces, just cutting through the adhesive. Just take your time and you'll be just fine. I did mine and the look is great!

This is after fishing line removal. Used some good off afterwards and a coat of wax and you could never tell they were ever there

Wait I think I can still see it.

Or is that just camaro badging residue on the floor?

Now to get serious, is this the same process for dealer badges. I don't mean the tapey kind but the plastic looking 3d ones?

acetone takes the glue/rubbery residue off and no it does not damage your paint at all.
