Looking for a new exhaust
Hey guys, so I've had my Camaro for awhile now, I've got my Nitto's and Forgestars on, and now I'm looking for a new exhaust, I don't like how my exhaust sounds, it's too quiet and doesn't sound mean.
Do you guys have any suggestions? I don't want something obnoxious sounding, but rather mean and aggressive that doesn't sound ridiculous. Thanks for all the help guys! |

Try www.summitracing.com they have a lot of exhausts that may fit your need. Also depends what you're looking for.

I've never heard MRT V1 or V2 but I have Dynomax VT's and they sound good but it's still way too damn quiet. I'll be completely honest with you and I'm in this boat AFTER spending $350. If you want a louder more aggressive sounding car chop off the resonators, the mufflers and install a Magnaflow resonated X-pipe and buy some new tips and get it all welded. I'm being dead serious, we have the same car and I'm disappointed in how quiet it STILL is. Start with that and if after that you think it's too loud buy some new mufflers. Because that'll run you $200 or less

2013 2LT; bought OEM mufflers from a 2013 2SS/RS for $150, had them insitalled from $60 and love the sound. Much deeper and a little louder than the OEM's. A lot cheaper than the Borla etc. aftermarkets.

I've got a set of SLP loudmouth II sitting in my garage that I'll sell to you for $200 plus shipping. They were exactly like what you are looking for. Then when I added headers, a blower, cam, etc...they were too loud.

Go Solo. http://solo-performance.com
Here's what mine sounds like (solo cats and cat-back) http://youtu.be/264HgX9zHS4 You can also adjust the tones on the Solo J-Pipes. |

Still unsure about what to do. Some people are just telling me to get mufflers and have them welded on but I'm not sure what to do, any suggestions guys? Some of the systems I've been suggested are either too quiet, or just too obnoxious and ridiculous sounding. I love the sound of the Solo exhaust systems though.

If you look into borla they have 3 types of exhaust systems they may fit your need. They a touring, s type and atak which is the loud one.

It depends on what type of sound you're looking for. I wanted something close to old muscle car sound so I went with the Stainless Works retro cat back. Like I said, it just all depends on what you prefer.
Edit: Didn't notice you were a V6 guy, my bad.
