Black Center Caps and Lug Nuts
I was thinking about painting/powder coating my wheels black or dark grey but it seems like everybody is doing this today. I decided to try something different by getting a set of black center caps and black lug nuts. I think it's a good contrast with the wheels.
I did some research and found out the Chevy Volt uses the same size center caps as Camaros. I found these center caps on ebay and they are OEM GM. The lug nuts are from Gorilla. What do you think?

I for one like it, with the contrast it kinda reminds me of a retro camaro wheels. I may steal this mod idea.

I ordered my caps and Gorilla lug nuts.
And a Camaro. I wonder which will get here first. |

Thanks for this thread. The center caps I bought are for the Volt. GM part #22791586
I was able to remove the center caps without marring, or removing the wheels. A) cut an old gift-card in half (long way) B) slip one strip into gap between wheel and cap C) pry a little, walk the other strip under there. Pry both and the cap pops out unharmed. Before:  Now:

Man I really like that...nice job and different approach
I am looking for black caps like those to install with black wheels...can you enlighten me on specifcially where you got them from Ebay? I see quite a few on Ebay but not sure what to trust???

I did what LimaCharlie suggested. The seller I picked was chevyextreme8, but I'd just as soon have picked them up directly from a local GM dealer.
