Just have a couple questions about noises I am having.

First of all I have a metallic rattle sounding noise that comes from the engine area or underneath when I am idling. I took this audio clip in the foot well on the drivers side. You can hear that I rev twice and when its done the noise comes back.

Secondly ever since I added stealth splash guards up front and the zl1 guards in the rear, I hear noises from outside the car on the drivers side. Its was really noticeable yesterday when I was driving Northbound and outside the wind was blowing SSW at 15mph. I bought some 3M automotive tape and am planning to use it up front, as right now the guard is just held on with two screws near the bottom and a metal clip near the top. The middle section of the guard is loose, so I am thinking maybe the wind gets in there and flaps it around.

But I am not sure of the rear zl1 guards. The only thing I can think of is that at the very top the guards have a little hole and also where it meets the fender well there is a hole. But no extra screws were included. But I have manually tried moving the top part and it doesn't move easily, so not sure what is causing the rear noise.

Bonus question. What have people done for the glove box rattle?

I do have the same issue with my 2014 1Lt RS, I have the same exact recording of that rattle, mine does it at idle and can hear it a bit louder wene I turn the wheel slightly left or right at idle, not sure if you noticed that on yours, I have Been back and forth with my dealer, first they drained and replaced the cooling system cause they said the cooling system had air in it and that was the noise I was hearing, i got it back the next day, we'll still made the same rattle noise so I took it back a couple days later for the same problem, they looked at it again and said they found the problem and it was the rack and pinion so they replaced it, again drove it home and I still hear the same rattle noise, I am getting a bit fustrated that they can't seem to find out what the problem is, I only have 8,000 miles on it.

So the 3M tape helped with the front guards, but still getting noise from the rear ones.

Also the exhaust rattle or whatever the metallic rattle is is getting worse. I read a thread on a tsb, but that was for 2010's. Is there a similar one for a '14?

That sounds like the noise I've recently started hearing in mine too, when at idle. I've heard it in park, a little in reverse, D and M. When I go to Neutral, it goes away. It idles right around 500 RPM's, but if I rev up to about 750 RPM's I don't hear it anymore. 11,000 miles on the car.
