Question about steering wheel and shift knob

On an effort to keep my note as low as possible and still get what I want...(1LT RS A6) I did not opt for the Driver C&C package mostly b/c I would never use the remote start bluetooth and USB. However, I do see the value in having a leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. Does anyone here have the urethane and how awkward does it look. I think when the car comes in I'll find a good leather shop to upholster those two things. Cost?

Sorry, now to answer your question. I love the work DSVcustoms does. That thread has a steering wheel and shift knob. $299 wheel and $99 shifter.

Hmm, let's see $400 (plus labor/time for install) for those two through DSV or get those plus so much more for $665 from the factory.

The C&C package is so worth it. Keep in mind, you also get steering wheel controls for the radio and phone with that package.

If cost is the issue, drop the automatic and add the C&C and Audio upgrade options instead. Assuming you can drive a manual transmission, of course.

I live in downtown Houston and traffic is horrible so an automatic is a must...my point in dropping the C&C was to cut down all costs that will get financed as I am recently separated from the military and a full-time student so the lowest note possible was the goal. the package may be $665 but added to the cost of the car financed over 60 months figures out to about 1K. I will check DSVCustoms thank you so much.

had my cellphone all set up with the bluetooth... worked great for few days and then it just went goofy... I would would say "call home" and it would call "gene's cell".... NOT EVEN CLOSE! Or if I did decide to dial the right number it would pop up "private call" and then "transferring call" and neither the car nor my handset would have the call... very aggravating... asked the on-star tech guy... he didn't know.. I finally just gave up... perhaps it's time to try it again... LOL

Really, what's another $16 a month?

I understand wanting an auto with Houston traffic. My 23 mile commute takes me up 288 and around 610 over to the Galleria every day but I don't mind it much, even with a manual transmission. It's worth it to me on those days when traffic is light or running around on the weekends.

You should join up with other Houston members in the Texas regional forum.

Make sure you get your PDIM software updated at your dealer. There is a newer version that is supposed to address some bluetooth issues.

There may be cheaper options ,but DSV does nice work. Do a search on DSVcustoms here to check them out.
