It definitely is an awesome feeling! The first time I drove a 5th gen or any gen for that matter was when I picked mine up. You haven't experienced anything yet until you have yours and hit that 1500 mile mark and drop the hammer for the first time. I was like a little kid at Christmas!

Good luck on selling your car...hope you can sell it quickly!

Did you drive the LT or SS? I know you are getting the LT which is one hell of a machine too. Just wondering.

Few things...

One, you can double quote two posts. Instead of clicking the "quote" key and responding, after you read a message, if you want to reply to it, click the " " " key and it will highlight but you can keep reading and reply later. Say you see another post you want ot reply to, clich the " " " again. When you get to the bottom, click the "post reply" on the left. You can then reply to both quotes in one message. It avaoids double posting....

Two, and more important... the leather is so much better than the cloth. I test drove a 1LT and considered the 1SS until I went and sat in a 2LT. So much better. Also, make sure you get the RS pkg. So worth $1200.

Three, you know you can order before your car is sold. Even if you get an open allocation right away you are still 6-8 weeks out. You should be able to move that car in 2 months.

LOL, i know i can quote more than one post at a time. the problem is that i never notice that there is that i always miss a post and then after i've already replied to one, i go back then i see it. it happens almost every time. or someone posts while i'm posting and i see it after i post so i reply to that too!

anyway, i am getting the RS pkg. and i definitely wouldn't get cloth in my car. i have leather now and won't ever have cloth again if i can help it.

my car has been for sale for a month now and i've only had one person call about it. i don't trust that it will be sold by the time my car gets here and i'm just not willing to take the risk of being stuck with two cars and two payments! lol!

I remember you saying you owe like $4000, isnt trade an option? That car has to be worth more then that on trade. Seems like a nice car. You should spend some time and clean it really REALLY good. Wash, clay bar, wax, polish the wheels, dress the tires, shampoo the interior, power wash and degrease the engine...etc. Make it look as new as you can.. A little cleaning goes a long way. You can really polish a turd and get some good money for it if you put your mind and muscle to it! Plus the CARS program is over so used cars will have more value now b/c people wont just be throwing them away and getting new cars b/c they get $4500 off. They will need cheaper, nice cars.

5500 is the most i'll get on a trade i was told. i have to have at least 10k to put as a down payment (i'm saving 5-6k of my own) so i need to get at least 9 for my car. 5500 isn't gonna cut it :( LOL!
