Negotiation failing.

Iv'e been going back and forth with the dealer now for 1 month.

They've discounted the car like $3,000 dollars, My question is since the dealer gets reimbursed for GM supplier discount. Can they do that and add the $3000 dollars savings on top.

Yes, they will try to tell you otherwise, but make them do it if they want to sell you the car. I would also find any other discounts that apply and have them add those.

Supplier discounts are normally available with and including any other factory-backed rebate program. Example- $3K cash back offer is normally deducted from the Supplier Price. Double savings. Check the programs to be sure what can and can't be combined. Some things can't be added on and becomes an either/or. But you have to do your homework to be sure.

Here's a good place to start if you get the supplier discount:

https://www.gmsupplierdiscount.com/

At first glance it seems you get 0.0% finance +1000 cash back OR 2500 cash back on a 2014 right now. Or 3.9% on 2015. That's just from glancing off the charts. There may be more. And you have to sign by 12/01/14 to get the current offer.

I went back and forth with a dealer I had bought 2 new cars from.

The whole thing boiled down to "Employee Pricing" because I owned a Cobalt, plus,,,,a $2000 dollar rebate.....$500 bucks Labor day cash......and on top of that I had a $1K Private Offer.
Time ran out when I couldn't get off of work to make the deal on Sept 2nd. Figured I missed my big chance at a great deal on a 14.

So when I got an email a week later stating they'd knock a flat $5000 off of MSRP, I was doubtful. It was a full $800 less than all that other crap combined that I had "missed out" on.

But it ended up being true, and I'm driving that car.

Lesson for me was.....Never get wrapped up in the details.

Let the salesman worry about how he gets the car to your price...
