Sway bar recommendation for daily driver?
Thinking about getting a new set of sway bars for my supercharged 2013 SS (FE4). Planning to do some other foundation-building suspension pieces with it (subframe bushings, radius arm inserts, toe links, etc).
Have read some different opinions ranging from as cost-effective as just swapping out the rear SS bar for a used 1LE / ZL1 bar, to getting a new set of front / rear aftermarket sways. Some combos have a ~5mm difference between front and rear, others have less or no difference. Not clear to me what's more track-oriented vs. for the street. Understand that a smaller front vs rear will remove some of the understeer bias, but since I don't track more than once or twice a year max (and I'm not particularly advanced) I don't want to have any real compromise to safety (and from what I understand, understeer is a safer bias for novices). Again, 99% of my use will be street / daily driving. Am looking to have better control in turns, and improve overall handling. Any recommendations? Thanks!

BMR part # SB039 is what I'd recommend. They're 3 way adjustable front and rear so you can dial them in for your tire setup and get a neutral balance. No better time to pick them up either with the sale going on.
Let me know if I can answer any questions! Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |

2012 1LT, ZL1 front bar only. Went from a scary 30 MPH before to 55 MPH on rails after; on a local s-bend onramp.

I upgraded my stock 2010 SS sways to the Pfadt ZL Spec Sways.
These are Pfadts version of improved sways for the ZL1. The car handles like it's on rails now, and if they were designed to improve the already supercharged ZL1 they should work really well for your supercharged SS.

I can second that the BMR bars are badass. I think if you run the softest setting front/rear you are in no way into "unsafe" territory. I run soft in the front and middle in the rear and the car is totally controllable, I get compliments from everyone who drives it.
One post said that he only replaced the front bar and likes the results. In my experience the stiffer front bar really helped out with tightening the steering feel/response, especially on-center. So his post does align with my experience. For this reason I think if you just step up the rear bar you are missing out on some of the benefits of doing both. The BMR bars are also well priced, they have incredible forum support and they even hold a lot of their value so if you change later on (you wont) you can sell them in the classifieds no problem. Good luck!

I bought the bmr sb039 installed last week, my car is mainly for street use, use the setting in the middle for the street, and the stiffest setting at the track, really added to full bmr suspension upgrades with traction.
