New brake pads

I just installed new Hawk HPS 5.0 pads the other day and it seems like I have to push the brake pedal a little harder to stop. I assumed they should grab right away but needs more effort instead. I only have 27k so the rotors were turned and reused. Any opinions? Thanks

Did you bed the new pads in properly? I don't see why the brakes would need bleeding just from a pad change.

I did the recommended steps to bed them. I might have to recheck them this weekend.

don't worry dude, i felt the same way. i bled them and everything was good. When you compress the pistons to fit the new pad in, your just pushing old dirty fluid back up into the lines. Fresh fluid should do it.
