Solo Performace Match-X-LFX Cat-Back Installed!
So I had my Solo Performance Cat-Back exhaust installed last week and after driving it for 5 days I have to say I am very happy with my purchase.
I was a little worried because it didn't sound as good as I thought it would at first but after a couple of days driving it the sound got a lot better. I chose the Solo because I wanted a GOOD SOUND. I didn't really care if it would be the loudest one out there because you don't have to be loud to sound good. I also didn't wanna feel like a I was trying to sound like a V8 and the solo did just that. It sounds like american muscle at idle but once you get into it it sounds more like an exotic. Another reason I chose solo was the fact that they already come with J-pipes to kill that infamous drone. I enjoy being able to hold a conversation while I am cruising on the Highway without yelling so to me no drone was a must. The J-pipes are very effective as you can see in the video bellow. I can't wait to hear how it will sound when it's fully broken in. I also have a CAI intake coming in tomorrow so that should make it sound even better. Here's a video of the system. It includes stock and solo cold starts, drive by, and in cabin sound. I hope it helps anyone out there looking for a new exhaust system for the V6. A big thanks to Solo Performance for making this great system and to Apex Motorsports for giving me such a great deal on it. Enjoy!

I've had mine for over a year and love it. When you get some time try playing with the adjustable "J" pipe ends. You will be surprised what a difference you can get sound wise from an inch of adjustment.

Did this fit correctly on your coupe without any modifications? They advertise it just for the vert but I'm not sure if it would fit on the coupe correctly.

I also have this exhaust. Sounds great. I picked up a set of solo's HFCs on Black Friday, so when spring time comes, they will be going in as well. Very nice sound. I want to mess around with the j pipes at some point. See the different sounds we can get out of them.

The Solo is always the exhaust I plan on getting, just never pulled the plug.

I was going to pull the trigger and buy this exhaust but after watching this video I am hesitant. It seems pretty raspy in the video. I have watched countless videos of the solo exhaust and all of them sound awesome but yours sounds different. I have a 2012 lfx aswell, could you explain more about how you were disappointed at first. Thanks!
