Question Parking Brake issue's....

Ok I installed R1 Concepts rotors on my SS and everything was fine until yesterday I was at a store and pulled in a spot. I ripped up the e brake like usual, clutch still pushed in since car was running, and I noticed I was rolling backwards.... I took the rears apart today and adjusted the e brake pads but It still doesn't hold like it used to with the stock rotors. I cant adjust it out much more because it will start grinding with the ebrake off. So my question is can I adjust the cable to take some slack out or do I need to go back in and adjust the ebrake some more... And help will be greatly appreciated.
