I have no spare. Where would I find the flat kit and the jack? Thanks

If you're looking to buy I found this http://shop.performancespare.com/CAM...-O-JACKLUG.htm , it says it doesn't come with a jack or lug wrench.

If you have a flat in the rear you'll need to replace it with a front tire/wheel and then replace it with the spare.

If you live near the Gulf Coast I'd be happy to give you a hand.

Thanks. Just making sure about what it comes with.

SS comes with compressor and a can of fix-a-flat. If you go the spare route, you can buy a spacer so the spare fits over the Brembos. Some info in this older thread about it, with links to other threads.

Bought mine on eBay, $250 plus about $40 shipping. Came from a wrecked car, so it included all of the factory bits and pieces, jack, wrench, handle, the foam holder for them and of course the tire. Fits right in over the battery. Stashed the air pump behind my seat for now, probably will strap the pump in to the trunk for a backup, that way if I come out of work some day and find a low tire I can pump it up and not have to change it.

GM hasn't offered a car with a spare tire or jack as a standard feature since 2011, they now only come with an "tire inflator kit" as a standard accessory. The spare tire etc is $200+ at the dealer as an extra feature

The whole idea was "if manufacturers remove the spare tire and its tools, the car will be 25 pounds lighter and therefore more fuel-efficient." yehhhhhhhhhh right

I bought a used stock front rim, had a new tire mounted to it, and went to the dealer to buy a jack, lug wrench, etc. I keep everything in my trunk at all times.

1LS here, so all the wheels tires are the same size and tires not directional.

I bought a matching wheel and tire, tpm, and tpm programming tool, a $25 scissor jack from Amazon and a nice lug wrench. So now I have a fullsize spare that actually gets rotated in with my other tires in a 4-wheel rear cross pattern.

The downside? It takes a lot of room in the trunk.

The upside? I'll never be helpless without a spare tire and tools, and the inside of the wheel makes for a GREAT cubby to hold small items from sliding around in the trunk.
