No license plate lighting
I attempted to replace my license plate bulbs with new LED's (thinking that the old bulbs were burnt out). The new bulbs won't work either.
I'm thinking it's one of 2 things: A. The fuse controlling the license bulbs B. The license bulb assembly, wiring and all needs replaced. Does anyone know what fuse is related to the license bulb? I looked at the diagrams and didn't see anything other than a fuse for 'trunk'. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I had a situation on a 2011 model camaro with tag lights not working. I ended up having to replace the wiring and housings since mine came all together. PITA to do it. I ended up having to repair several spots. The wires were melting in places and the housings went tits up and started taking water. I sold the car about two years later. I checked my 2010 model camaro for the same issue, removed the rear bumper in both cases just to be sure there was no other problems.

no if you have small hands you can do it through the license plate hole. i removed mine after i notice melted wiring. the kit i received from GM was two housings with lights installed and wiring harness. i removed my bumper. little more work but way easier then trying to work through the hole.
its allot like removing the front bumper to pull headlights or the grill. seems like everything has to come off to install something. |
