Hello,
My name is Sean and I just purchased a used 2001 Camaro Z28 with the LS1 motor. It only has 46K miles on it, and the motor looks to be in pretty good shape. This is only my second Camaro, the previous car was a '97 Z28 with the LT1 motor. A mechanic friend of mine said the LS1 is a good, strong motor and you could get alot out of it at a budget price. My goal is to reach around 600rwhp (no boost) and maintain street drive-ability. Not sure if this is possible to obtain on a naturally aspirated engine, but that's my goal. If there is anyone that has a setup that achieves this, please let me know! I'm not sure if I should start out with the Trick Flow performance Kit or go a different route. From what I can tell, the current mods on the car are: SLP Intake, SLP exhaust system, performance shifter. I hope someone can help me out! It's great to be on here, thank you for your time! |

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Welcome to Camaro 5
I drove both the LT1 and several LS1's and they are great motors. |
