painting felt door panels?? anybody done this?

I have a 2011 SS and to save money I would like to paint my felt door panels and dash panel as well but not sure if possible. .....has anybody done this successfully and if so is it cheap and looks good? Pics if possible and DIY instructions would be awesome! Thanks guys!

Are you talking about the cloth itself or the plastic around it?

I took the cloth off and painted the plastic parts. Not sure if that is what you meant or not...

I have heard someone say to peel off the cloth (felt) and paint the plastic then reinstall

correct. Remove cloth and glue residue. Sand and wet sand to a smooth finis . Prime paint clear coat. Reinstal . Did it on mine.

Sorry only if the finished product. Its very easy to do and use goof off to remove the glue it came off very easy rather than heavy sanding

I ripped the cloth out, removed all the adhesive, sand and wet sanded until smooth, primed, painted, and clear coated mine
