Simple mods before break in??

Is it ok to do a Rotofab intake and vmax ported throttle body before break in period is over?

For sure, just follow the break in recommendations.

You may get check engine lights from doing both.

I did both with just over 1000 miles and had no problems at all.

no problems with minor mods at all...just refrain from driving like a psycho until the magic 1500 mile mark.

Mine is a 13 with 433 miles on it. When I do drive mine..... I run the crap out of it . I put the cai and V-max on it already and haven't had any issues. I don't believe in the break in period. Drive it like your going to drive it....they are built to run.

There has been much debate about this. Go back and search the threads if your interested. Personally I recommend following it, I would think the engineers have their reasons, they built the car after all. And a couple of machine shop guys have chimed in agreeing with it along with some pretty convincing points. Read up on it.

I'm sure they do recommend it. And that's fine. I'm going to drive it like I want......I've owned a lot of fast cars. Never had any issues ...it's not possible for me to just put around in that car. I don't have it in me... ;-)

Everyone has their own preferences, just want to make sure they have all the info to make a decision.

Spoke to my buddy Patrick last night. He owns Vararam down in TX. He's fabricating me a system that with some 102 to 87mm venturi spacer will raise boost by almost 2 pounds. It is a cold air system. It will not require a tune and you can't port the throttle body. Sounds interesting and he is a genius when it comes to air flow so I will wait and see what he comes up with.

What about a CAI and a 5% pulley?
