2015 Camaro V6 1LT/RS build setup
Hi Guys, I was just wondering what you think of this current build I have in mind and what kind of performance gains I would be getting. I am just starting with this car stuff, so please be easy. I am looking at a Solo High Flow Catalytic Converter paired with either a SLP Loudmouth 1 Muffler Delete, or a MRT V1 exhaust. Please let me know what you think.

The first mod you should get is the oil catch can ASAP!! Highly recommend Solo High flow cats and the cat back system you choose is user preference. I have Corsa cat back and I love it but others like MRT V1 or the delete or other brands. It's what you think sounds better to you. Do a search on you tube for different cat backs videos. Not the best but gives you an idea.

high flow cats are useless
go catless if you actually want gains AND you'll save $800 or so for more power and better sound. illegal either way here |

First two mods.... without a doubt......are most definately....... Cold Air Intake and ported throttle body. After that, forget the high flow cats, add a resonated X pipe with a muffler delete. great sound and cheap!

Cold air intake (CAI) and Catch can are the first 2 things you should consider doing. Exhaust and Vitesse throttle controller next on the list. My .02

I've enjoyed my bone stock '14 2LT/RS for almost a year now. My tax return says it's time for the mods to begin. First things going in are CAI, Catch Can, Ported Throttle Body, & Vitesse Throttle Controller. Resonated X-Pipe and MRT Axle Back Exhaust V2 will follow soon after. I'm new to the car scene too so I'm exited to pop my cherry

These engines are direct fuel injected. They work great and gives us more power then the non direct. The problem we have the there is no fuel with cleaners in the intake manifold to clean our valves because of the pvc system. The oil catch can captures the oil vapors and prevents it from entering our intake manifold and caking our valves which results in poor performance. Very well worth it and cheap insurance. Search this sight on oil catch can and it explains allot better then I could. Seriously, this should be your first mod. Good luck
