Clutch Knocking

Hello all, having an issue on my 11 ls with 45k miles. Today, out of nowhere, about 5 minutes after a cold start.. I pushed in my clutch and heard what I thought was a rod at first. Then I remembered, this v6 doesn't even have rods or lifters.. it remained ticking, at about the same speed as rpms for like 5 to 10 seconds. I can't exactly remember if it was only when my clutch was in or not as you can imagine I was pretty upset. After the noise subsided, I went and gave it a little hell to see if I could get the noise to go again, nothing. WTF is going on?

Also, there does not seem to be a lack of power or acceleration.

If your V6 doesn't have rods, you have more serious problems than clutch noise

But without hearing it, its gonna be tough for any of us to help ya pinpoint it. How cold was it? Really frigid temps cause noises that can be deemed normal until the component warms up. We've had some sub zero days here lately and all our vehicles make more noise than normal for the first few minutes.

What is that thing called again, driveline shunt? I forget. I noticed it at low speeds in my 11' LLT M6. Could be unrelated; taking a stab in the dark here.
