2 piece ZL1 rotor question

Anyone know if the ZL1 2 piece rotors come with harware that is set up for safety wire and is it needed if they don't?

they are not drilled for it. Sure it can be done.

Should it be done? Or is there something in the design that makes it not necessary?

GM puts them on a new car which means the fastness have been validated. They are self locking and good to go.

That said, in a full race application I would safety wire, but that is most likely comparable to using a belt and suspenders.
