LFX Replaced

I recently had a knocking noise in my engine. I dropped the oil and there was a lot of metal in it. Got it to the dealership and a bearing shredded inside the engine. Dealership said they've never seen or head of this in a LFX. It only had 30,800 miles on it and I use synthetic and replace the oil regularly. GM was kind enough to drop in a new engine. I asked them to add two more cylinders and he said he gets that a lot. Here are some pics of it opened up.

Should have handed him a hundred dollar bill and winked, the laugh would have been worth it (although you wouldn't see that $100 again).

Thanks for sharing the pics.

So when my car is starting up I will get a sound something like a soft backfire, popping sound. Thought it was bad gas. Still there...shit now I'm worried
