Z28 Aero Kit on ZL1

Has anyone done this yet? Looking for pics if someone has. Looks like the wheel arches or whatever they are called are matched up to the side skirts. Can you even buy the aero kit yet?

I think that would be the ugliest mod if it were done. I already have some issues with it on the Z/28. It would be the worst downgrade for the ZL1 IMO; Attempting to imitate another model instead of appreciating its own greatness.

I believe stevezl1 is doing it. The look of the z28, with the zl1 motor and suspension i think will look insane. cant wait to see put together.

It is going to be insane. The biggest issue is the facial reconstruction that is needed on the front fascia so the body lines, line up with the ZL1 hood.

This is what I am going to call "The Car GM should have built"

You and KaBoom have expressed exactly what I think as well. Well said, both of you.

Are you going to keep the ZL1 wheels or go with Z/28 wheels?

Might be cool to keep the ZL1 wheels and have them widened and spaced. Then run an even wider tire package with the added width from the fender skirts.

Thanks for the complement. Should be getting back to work on her in a few weeks. The crap weather in NY just does not want to give. But once on the way I will post plenty of photos on my build thread.

Just curious what size those rims are. There are very few top tier tire choices in a 20" rim right now. Pretty much have to go with 19"s or less if you want a race grade tire.
