Transactions with Members

Hello All,

What is the best / recommended approach to buying and selling parts with members on the forum here? I have been wanting to buy a few things, but don't want to get screwed. Are money exchanges typically handled through Paypal? Is it customary for the buyer to pay in full before the item is shipped or pay half before and half after parts are received?

Just wondering the etiquette that most people follow so I don't get "taken".

I have bought and sold a few things to members on here. Use Paypal. State what its for, and if there is an issue you can ask paypal to resolve it. Most people are trustworthy here, but its always a good idea to look out for yourself.

I too have sold an item or two on here, and have purchased a few items through PayPal. I understand your concerns as I'm always leery of getting burnt also. Especially when I work very hard for my money

I just recently purchased a set of SS calipers from a C5 member, and the transaction went smooth. I had to pay in full before receiving the product. So far I haven't had no problems with those that I've dealt with. (Knock on wood)

I just read through some of the sellers threads, posts, and traders rating, and go from there . Like everything else you have your honest folks on here, and you unfortunately have your scammers.
Just proceed with caution when making a purchase. That's all. GL !
