Does anyone run DOT 3 brake fluid anymore?
While searching for the best option for brake fluid, it seems as if everyone has swapped from the factory DOT 3 to motul 600. Should I go to motul if im NOT going to track the car? Suggestions please!

If your not going to road course the car, dot 3 is perfectly acceptable.

I did the upgrade to Motul because I did the CTS-V upgrade (with new stainless lines). Bee was almost 3 yrs old before I did the clutch/brake reservoir split, so I figured with all of that it was logical to go ahead and flush with new fluid. It wasn't necessary for my daily driver, but for the "add-on" price it just made sense.

It's not always true, but most DOT3 fluids have a longer life than DOT4 fluids, and are more resistant to contamination. This is not much of an issue for those who go to road course track since they'd need to bleed much more often anyway, but it's a good feature if your car will never see track duty.
GM's service intervals assume DOT3. If you use DOT4, you should probably service (replace) your brake fluid more often than whatever is recommended.
