2015 Z28 two days at track..hurt motor?

As title says

Two days at the track..first time I pushed the car a little in a TT class revving to redline and the check lamp comes on..starts flashing..car was dropping one or more cylinders on track.
Code po300 and po306 come up for misfire when scanned in the pits.
Reset it....went out for a 5/10ths lap and the felt like crap...but no lamp or code.

Reset the ECM...unhooked the battery ..and parked the car for the day.

Driving home mil came on....it ain't a bad injector or coil..engine internal..ran some testing to confirm this...don't care to get into it further as there are a lot of arm chair mechanics on the web.

Moral of the story don't flash your ecm and void your motor warranty with the ls7

Great car I think..just weak motor.

On the way home mil came up again ....it ain't a bad injector or bum coil..engine internal..ran some testing at my shop to confirm this...don't care to get into it further.

Btw my background is 15 years in road racing with a comp license, racing many different fast cars..I'm easy on the equipment...no money shifts here that broke the motor...

Sorry to hear about your engine. What kind of ecm flash did you have?

It's a stock tune.

Before I tracked the car I spoke to the service manager of the dealership...he advised me not to flash the car since this would void the warranty if we had motor problems as some of the ls7s do.

Okay. I understand now.

What's the cause of the failure? Is your engine completely stock?

OP. Sorry to hear about your motor. Hopefully you can get quick resolution on warranty work. I would be sure to have the engine rebuilt versus replaced if it were mine.

LS7 failures happen most often with faulty valve guides and dropped valves...please post the exact failure once it is diagnosed

...we'll find out after I get the car back over to Chevrolet...I suspect valve train.

Yea the motors stock.

The cars was on redline 1050w oil

I can't really go into many more details...warranty is pending.

I ran the track the same way in my 2013 boss for almost 2 years and a GTR and had no problems.

Sorry to hear You had problems with your motor. Kinda takes a little pride In ownership away from you when this happens so soon in taking ownership of a vehicle. With all the hype this car has from G.M. calling it a "street Legal" racecar I would hope you would be fine because you are just doing what this car was designed to do. Right? Now I can only hope you can get past this unscathed and regain what you lost and get back to having fun with your car.
