Vibration in the stick shift and other...

I've noticed recently a constant vibration in my stick shift for a 2010 ss2 with 18,000 miles. It isn't a vibration you can visibly see, but it is the type of vibration a lady might enjoy if you know what I mean... Previous to the vibration, I heard a sound like debris getting caught in my front driver's wheel rim so I am suspecting a weight or two coming off the rim and unbalancing the wheel.(I have an appointment for wheel balancing this weekend) The vibration really starts to be present at 44+ MPH and gets more noticeable at 75-80. After noticing the vibration, I noticed that when I reverse, sometimes my wheel seems to stick and you will hear/feel a knock similar to a drum brake sticking. It feels like it's one of the driver's side wheels. At one occasion it was when I first started to roll. A different occasion was when I was near the end of backing out of a parking space right before I was going to shift into first. Any one had similar issues that could point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Vibration in in the stick is normal. Its a direct connection to the transmission which is in motion.
