i was on here the other day and saw a polish the makes the car shine really good. it was in a green can know i cant find the thread with it in it. if someone can help that would be great

You may want to visit the cosmetics/wash and wax section of the board. There are so many products and methods to choose from.

Did anyone else read the title of this as polish, like the language, rather than polish, like the wax? I clicked simply because I was intrigued.

So wax and polish are not the same thing. The reason polish makes the car shine so well is it gets rid of all the tiny scratched and surface imperfections that bounce the light all over the place making it seem less 'shiny'. At best a wax will just temporarily fill these scratches, but it wont shine as well as a truly polished paint surface.

I dont know of a green one, but I have used Mazerna and it is amazing stuff. After that you may want to look in to a good sealer, topped with a good carnuba wax to give it that warm shine.

As previously stated check out the approp. sub-forum, there is a sticky for recommended products. I have used most of them, and they are all great.

I would suggest using either Zainos( https://www.zainostore.com/ ) or Adams ( http://adamspolishes.com/) ... I have used both over the years and both are AMAZING products. If you prefer something from AutoZone you can try the Meguiars NXT Wax (http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotiv...ech-waxreg-20/). Honestly that turtle wax is pretty crappie compared to many of the other options out there especially for the price of some of the higher end waxes you get a lot better product when in comparison for what you would pay for the turtle wax.

I agree, both Zaino and Adams have great stuff. Anything sold at Autozone should just be avoided.

You will pay way more that its worth as, you said.

Basically as a synopsis, you have to wash, clay, then polish to get the oxidation and other issues out of the paint, and then use an lsp (wax or sealant) of your choice for the optimal result from your paint.
