1in drop with 315's
i have the Hurst stunner wheels. the rears are 20x11 with a +40mm offset. im looking to do a 1 in drop with SLP springs. will i have issues with this setup. im worried about rubbing on the fender. i cant seam to find any info on this. i have found some threads that say it is fine with 35mm off set but i cant find any thing related to 40.

If you rub, roll them

People run 315s on the ZL1 with its 20x11 +43 wheels and if I remember correctly it is an inch lower than the SS from the factory.

Tire plays a factor in rubbing , different brands fit wider or narrower depending on style. for instance VS are narrow tall type, while falkens run thicker,wider.etc. Just depends on brand and size, not all 315s have same sidewall depth if you will.

We have lowered the ZL1 with our PFADT drop springs without any rubbing issues, and those will lower the car from a 1" to a 1.25" drop at most.

It's going to be very close to the fender, but you should be fine. It's only going to stick out 3mm more than the ZL1's that run 315s all the time lowered. Worst case, you may have to camber in slightly. There isn't really anything to roll on the rear fenders of the camaro; you can pull, but nothing to roll.

I did a Pfadt 1.25 drop last weekend and I'm running a ZL1 replica 20x11 with a +43 in the rear. Tires are BFGoodrich G-Force Rivals 315/35 in the rear. The tire is close to the fender but doesn't touch under hard acceleration or cornering.
Definitely check your ebrake cable once you get the cars weight back on the wheel. My ebrake cable rubbed against the inside of the wheel. You could just ziptie it to the toe rod but I wouldn't recommend it. I just don't like the idea of a ziptie holding the cable. you can loosen some of the clamps and pull a bit of a slack forward. Would also recommend covering the cable with some PVC or similar to protect in the event the cable moves again. I haven't been able to find much info on around regarding it. Maybe only affecting the earlier models? Mines a 2010. I did find a post on here that gave me the idea. Just couldn't locate it again. Also, have your camber & alignment checked. Mine needed adjustment to both after the drop.

Anyone have pics of their cars lowered on 315's and +40 offset?
Don't mean to try and thread jack but I'm looking to lower an inch here in the near future as well. |

You will be fine I'm lowered 1.5 on 20x10 front 20x11 rear with 315 pilot super sports which run big and it clears fine. Just zip tie the brake line back.
