How much do these things go for? The cop was watching me as i answered a call for not even a few seconds and hung up and then he lit me up..

You should have your phone connected to your car via Bluetooth... no more cell phone tickets.

In my camaro i do but in my DD i don't have Bluetooth. Sad part is he got me 5 second maximum on the cellphone. Just telling my girl "Heading there now babe" then i hung up and he lit me up for that short of a time span. Wish i would have at least got my money's worth.. maybe at least squeezed a "Get dinner ready and turn on the dodgers" or something lol.

In Simi Valley man! Im going to go to that damn court date on my birthday and hope the cop doesn't show or at least they will cut me a break.. Who knows.

I wouldn't spend my birthday at the court house..
Only way out of it would be if you told the judge that your girlfriend and you know not to call while either of you are driving unless it's an emergency, and so you answered and was gonna pull over but then it was quick and you hung up.

If you go to court, they tack on the "court fees" and if semi valley is anything like over here, the judge will side with the officer even if he isn't there. That's what happened to me on my last ticket.

Over here it was an extra $100 just for showing up.

Decided to shoot my buddy a text who is the head of ventura counties homicide crime unit (detective) and this is what he said.

"Hey Devin. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Not sure how much the ticket is, but I can find out. I would show up for court if the dep shows then pay the fine. If the dep doesn't show then the case is dismissed"
