Z/28 suspension on a standard Camaro with non-Z/28 wheels? Anyone tried?
Hello all,
I have noticed that the complete Z/28 suspension is available from the GM Performance Parts catalog - which is a mod I am seriously interested in. I am however afraid that I would not be able to use the Z/28 wheel / tire combo, as they are too wide (as far as I can tell, the Z/28 has fender flares). Hence the question: Has anyone got any experience with Z/28 suspension on a non-Z/28 Camaro, with standard (or 1LE) wheel / tire combo? I heard and read that the Z/28 is considerably lower than the normal Camaro. Are there any issues with tire to bodywork clearance? Thanks in advance! |

Do a little searching in this suspension subforum and you'll find there are already a few guys that have put this on their car. One of them is X25. Here's a thread where the Z/28 suspension was discussed quite a bit already.
