Livernois Dual pump tuning??
So I'll be installing the dual pump assembly this week. What if any changes need to be done to the tune as far as the fuel setting go?

if it provides more fuel pressure than the stock you need to check the fuel setting or you risk to run too rich.
i don't really know the chevy ecu's logic but usually if i set a xx m.sec. of injector aperture with more psi more fuel will be injected |

When I bought the pump they it would need to be addressed in the tune, but they where no specific to what needed to be changed. Any input would be great.

Here is what I know. The fuel pump control module controls the pressure/flow of the fuel pump. Changing pumps without reprogramming the FPCM (like with ADM's unit) could make little or no difference without changes to the FPCM.
BUT if your current pump was dropping off fuel pressure at high rpms when the car was tuned (e.g. FPCM demanding 58psi but pump only flowing 50psi) and now the new pump maintains the proper demanded pressure than it could throw the tune off by running rich and hurting power output

Is Livernois doing the work for you or suggesting this? If so, I'd certain heed their advice.

is he looking at delta pressure? or rail pressure? If he's looking at rail pressure, is it with an actual gauge? Typically speaking the computer talks in delta pressure, so if it runs 58# of fuel pressure with 0 boost, and 0 vacuum, it will show 58# of fuel pressure on the log. However, add 10# of boost onto it and it will show 48# of fuel pressure. The pressure didn't drop, but the delta pressure did.

This was all done via laptop, can you please explain delta pressure and what needs to be done to correct it? |

also interested in this post since I have had fuel pressure problems in my ZL1. My tuner said that my pressure is dropping into the 30# area. That was on the dyno and he had his laptop in the car with him. The car has went lean once already and I burnt the tips off of 3 plugs. Added a boost a pump and it was wired incorrectly and it fried my ECM, so I will not be putting that back in the car. Now I am looking for a stronger pump, but I don't need a squash system for 1400.00. Just looking for a drop in pump that will do the trick..please help!

if he is looking at delta pressure, there is nothing to correct, as the pump is maintaining pressure. 48# delta pressure + 10# of boost = 58# of actual fuel pressure.
