I can't believe its actually parked in my garage!
After nearly 5 months of waiting, I finally picked up my 2SS last night! I work third shift and woke up at about 1:30 today and called my salesman to see if he heard anything as it was already a day late on the truck. I had a narrow window of oppurtunity because I had to drive 2.5 hours to the dealership. So the phone call goes not-so-well as he hadn't heard anything yet. So I start with S1 and just as I'm completing the job the phone rings>>>
 I get S2 in and jump in the Jeep with wifey and off we go. A quick stop in Green Bay for a sandwich, which I couldn't shovel in my gut fast enough, and onward to Sheboygan. The Jeep goes for a rotation and oil change and I look over to the front of the building and THERE IT IS! I've seen a RJT, IMO and driven a silver V6, but nothing could compare to the feeling I felt seeing my VR from across the parking lot. I handed over the check and walked around the car for what seemed like hours just staring at it. I got the CGM (thanks to the poll on Camaro5 I steered away from the black stripes) stripes and they looked absolutely perfect! The drive home was perfect. I was in a daze the whole way home, kind of like when you've been talking on your cell phone and lose complete track of where you are. There were several times on the way that I had no idea where I was, even though I had been on the roads many times before. The Boston Acoustics stereo is absolutely awesome! The 6 speed is the best I've rowed and the power makes my old stock car seem wimpy. I'm 6'2" and have a whole 1/2" to spare before I bury my head into the roof (yes I have the sunroof). Weird thing is, if I tilted the seat upright more I never did hit the roof. I took it to work last night and everyone drooled over it. I was disappointed that my ride home is only about a mile. After I pulled into the garage I got out and just stared at it for a few minutes. I really can't believe it is parked in my garage!! |

Very nice! I picked my car up a week ago and I still look out the garage door window and smile.
I had the black stripes on my SIM 2LT that I had earlier this spring but got the CGM on my IOM 2SS. I like the gloss finish of the CGM stripes muuuuuch better. Good choice! HeavyD, those are the factory installed CGM stripes. They are a glossy vinyl unlike the black dealer installed stripes that are a matte finish. |
