LS3 Guys(read)..

Ok guys I was talking with Scott this morning and he was asking me about my car...

He asked me does it idle rough i said yeah..

Well he told me that means it had lower than 91 octane put in it.. (NOTE: I have put nothing but 93 since I have had it...) We think the dealer did it just like his..

So he told me to pull the fuses that the L99 owners did to fix their car..

So I am going to pull them later today..

He said after you pull them let the car sit for at least 2-3 hours then put them back in and go drive and see how it feels...

So what I am going to do is do a 0-60 run before the fuse pull, record the temp. and all that good stuff. Then after I plug them back in I will do another run to see what the differnce is...

So I want all you LS3 guys to post here and say if your car idles rough...

if it does, pull the fuses...

And tell me how your car feels after you plug them back in...

You pull fuses #5 and #20 I will get the picture of the fuse box and show you which ones they are...

Hope this helps...

I'll give it a shot. Does it just cut power to the ecm or the whole car. I guess what I mean is will I have to reset the clock and presets?

No just the ECM. Nothing to reset, much better than the battery pull and this works since the ECM has a battery backup so pulling the battery has no effect on the ECM.

I read on another board this same solution for rough idle. But i was there when my car hit the ground off the truck. The truck driver got out i got in. the car idled rough. i drove my salesman to the gas station and pumped myself my car has never seen low octane gas. kinda makes you wonder what gm put in it lol, its a joke not trying to start anything

could idling rough be from having a super awesome super powerful car? i'm not saying there isn't a problem, but i drove my car to my parents house(2ss/rs), and jumped into their Mercedes, the car was so quiet and motionless it didn't even feel like the car was on. In fact I even asked that. I just feel like its supposed to be like that.

I love that my car is loud and rough at idle...scares the babies off.

Going to test mine at the track at around 1k. After oil change and all if I do not like the times, I'll try the pull. I'm not sure what mods I will do
