Perma-grin intact

Got the key recall done this morning.

It looks fugly, but when I got back in the car and started the engine...guess what...the perma-grin came back immediately.

Rip your new keys apart and put them back in your switchblade. Then your perma-grin can be intact AND you can have a switchblade that GM thinks it fixed.

Pyroguy - How did you get a build # of your Aqua Blue SS? Didn't think that was possible with the 5th gens.

They believed that it was possible for the key to be bumped by a drivers knee or get caught on clothing.

lol, really? You can do that with any key. Thanks for clarifying. I assume you are correct and not pulling my leg...

Fortunately my dealer lost one set of my keys, and later found them, so I have three switchblades. I think I may take one set in for the recall. They just remove the key, correct?

My dealer helped me out. I went in with one beat-to-hell flip-key, walked out with two blade keys. Got a free key lol, and since I ordered 2 extra flips, i now have 3 total fobs (1 with no key) and two blades. I keep one blade in my wallet, which is in my pocket at all times. Not worried one bit about locking my keys in my car lol

My dealer told me the only people that have an issue with the key are people with long legs or people who "lay down" while they drive, and generally only people with the A6. Not sure if he's right but they left my key alone and ive never been close to hitting it.
