Having a bit of a problem with this stupid mylink (agian) and Iphone.

My Iphone 5S won't connect to the car anymore for music or hands free calling, gives me an error message telling me to "Try again", at which point touching anything, even the volume knob, will cause the phone to disconnect.

Just started happening after I updated my Iphone to 8.1, or 8.2, or whatever the hell apple is at now.

anyone having a similar problem? Any way to fix it?

No problems at all with My 5s. After the last update I did have to delete the bluetooth and rediscover it though.

I don't know if iPhones have the same thing as Android but on my Galaxy S5 I went into the Bluetooth app settings and cleared the data and the cache. I didn't have to re-pair the device and it worked fine again.

Nothing wrong with my iPhone 6 or 6 plus.

Typically removing the bluetooth device from Mylink and removing Mylink in Bluetooth settings on your car. Then repairing will fix that.

Typically when that happen , one can make it work again by start it over like it was a new unit , like said above
Erase each unit from each equipment ,mand pair it again , it should work fine from there

not necessarily true, i had this problem before. i did what you all are saying and i even tried the "keep the door open for 6 min" or so and still couldn't get my damn thing to work. i had to down load an app for some of my problems. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=408237

I have done some iPhone programming with bluetooth. The iPhone "ID" is not fixed, so it may get a new one with an upgrade. This is why you need to reconnect the bluetooth services.
