How does MBRP compare to Corsa and Borla?

for the 2010 camaro ss... i know its about personal taste and such and i kno corsa is raspy and borla is low... but what about mbrp? is it in between, raspy like corsa or low like borla?

I have Corsa and it's probably the best for L99 since X-pipe comes with resonators to help with AFM.

Haven't heard MBRP on an L99, but it is much more agressive on the LS3 I did hear. I loved the sound and the polished 3" pipes were nice too. If you tune out AFM then no worries...

I'd like to hear from someone who has MBRP on an L99. Here's one thread..http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38702

Bottom line is you need to consider the groan that comes with AFM. The more agressive the system the more you hear it.

EDIT: read post #17... my assumptons confirmed...

so you are saying my best bet for the l99 is corsa? in the sense of the least hassle.

The AFM on the L99 causes a buzz or drone around 1700 rpms with most aftermarket exhausts. Even my GMPP "off road" axle back has some buzz or drone right around 1700 rpms (and I still have all the factory resonators, etc)

Corsa exhausts are famous for not causing any drone (very quiet cruise while still being aggressive at WOT). But the L99's AFM is very unique, and I have no first hand experience with the Corsa Catback on an L99. It would be great if someone with an L99 running a Corsa Catback would comment on the AFM.

Purr it will for your LS3. I've been in talks with MBRP and they are still waiting on a donor L99 car to test the R&D they have drawn up. I really like my sound when in v8 mode, so I'm giving them a chance before going back to stock or even Corsa. I can't stress enough how great the craftsmanship and sound this system does for my car, just the damn AFM is screwing my experience up badly. I wish GM would have just gave the A6's an LS3 instead.
