lowering setup
My shocks are pretty much done for so Im thinking of replacing them with either Bilstein hd or 1LE shocks. While Im at it Im also doing Hotchkis lowering springs. My questions are do I need to go to adjustable toerod and trailing arms or will my nonadjustables work. Also anybody have experience with the Bilstein shocks. I cant decide which way to go. I mostly drag my car and do spirited driving. Your help and opinions are greatly appreciated.

Lowering the car with the 1" Hotchkis springs will still allow a good street alignment with stock hardware, so your nonadjustables will work fine. I don't have experience with Bilstein shocks, so I can't speak for that. 1LE shocks are good agressive shocks, but while the front shocks are a decent price, watch out for the price on the rears. 1LE rear shocks require the 1LE top mount, and can get pricey. A lot of members are happy with Koni Orange shocks since they are a decent price, have a great warranty, are tuned aggressively, and works quite well with a 1" lowered car.

thanks for your response do you have the orange konis. How aggressive are they. I dont mind aggressive but this is a dd and we have some pretty shitty roads to rival any third world country

Yes I do have Koni Orange shocks. It is definitely a more firm ride compared to OEM FE3 shocks. Mine is also a DD, lowered 1" with Hotchkis springs, and roads here are also awful. The ride is just fine and much more fun to drive compared to OEM. The part that sold me on these shocks was the lifetime warranty.
