Ethanol based fuel. 85% ethanol where most gas is 10%. Basically higher octane fuel, but you need to use ~30% more of it to work. With a big enough fuel system to handle the extra 30%, and tuning or flex fuel, you basically have race gas you can get at a pump (assuming any stations close to you). Some parts of the country have it all over, some don't have it at all. High octane lets you add timing/boost which can add power. For a NA car like yours, gains are minimal, maybe a few HP from added timing. On a turbo/blower car that can up the boost you can get 100+hp.

One of the key benefits of ethanol is it's cooling effect on the intake charge. It's a great fuel to run, especially if you have plenty of pumps in your area. One thing to note is being in an area that runs a winter blend. I doubt you have that issue in Alabama, but it's possible. Winter blends are usually around 75% ethanol vs. 85%.

I'm making the switch to E-85 myself with I.D.2000s and Fore triple pumps

I would do ID1300s for e85, and skip the 2000s. Especially if it isn't a daily.

The cool thing about the flex fuel kit is you can put straight fuel in the tank or E85 without needing a retune. Wouldn't have to worry about winter blends or not finding a E85 station. I think E85 gains NA are around 10-15 RWHP over 93 octane and 20-25RWHP over 91 octane. 10 RWHP is not a very cost effective gain if you need pump and injectors and have 93 octane available but 25RWHP is great if all you need is the flex fuel conversion and a re tune if you only have 91 octane available. Like here where I live its pretty much 91 octane only with a select few stations selling 93 octane for over $5.50 a gallon but E85 is everywhere and cheap.

So... I'm aware of a twin turbo LS 4th gen that has gone mid 7's in the 1/4 on E85.
I know a local friend with a cam/blower manual 5th gen that has made 700rwhp on E85.

So then the only issue would be larger injectors?
