Another question about springs (but not lowering this time).

2010 2SS/RS with 65k miles. Pretty sure the stock shocks/struts are on their last legs.

I need to start looking into what I should do next with my suspension (complete list of mods in signature). Currently have ZL1 springs and are generally happy with how they feel. However, a recurring clunk noise has returned and I'm pretty sure I've traced it to the right rear shock assembly. I'm thinking of replacing the full assemblies while I am in there and the 1LE setup was brought up. Only thing I'm not sure of are the springs that come with it. Are they the same as the ZL1 (results in a 3/4" drop) or are they the SS? It wouldn't be the end of the world if they are SS springs because I can just reuse the ZL1 I already have, but I would prefer to go ahead and get a "matching set" if the whole assembly is replaced.

The standard SS and 1LE have the same springs.

OP, I think JusticePete is offering a service where he fits z/28 springs to the 1LE rear shocks (wont work as-is because the z/28 springs are shorter than 1LE/SS). This would get you your drop along with a nice new shock assembly but probably a harsher ride (not sure if you care or not). I'll try to find the thread where I saw them
